Be aware of this dog and renters in Apt 551. This dog is known to be aggressive, nipped at my niece a few months ago.. Today 5/25/2024 this dog viciously attacked my 12lb terrier causing substantial blood loss and injury.. I will escalate this with the front office on Tuesday 5/28/2024. Animal control has been notified Hopefully management (Curve at Melrose) will take the necessary steps to insure no other dogs or humans are attacked by this vicious animal.

The Curve at Melrose markets itself as a luxury apartment but I promise you itâs the complete opposite. Letâs start with management. Since June 2023, the front office staff has changed three times. The current community manager, Jade, has an awful personality. She is rude and delayed the repair to our drywall by lying to the regional manager about the extent of the damage. Hugo and Steve are the maintenance men. Steve is great and always friendly. Hugo has an anger issue and would benefit from taking classes. Heâs come into my home and yelled at my sister after a shelf in our fridge was loose. He fully broke it off and said that he was going to charge us for the damage. He has a history of this explosive behavior. Iâve never met Shalysa M but she is commenting on my sisterâs review saying that we were evicted. We were never evicted. In fact, Bowen Johnson is the regional property manager who agreed to let us break our lease because of the various flaws here. He has been quite understanding of the situation but that is likely because he has other things to worry about (the ongoing legal battle between the Curve and the state of Arizona- look it up). Shalysa, I see youâre busy responding to everyoneâs reply. When was the last time youâve visited this property hmm? Would you live here? The Curve will scam you by only showing the model unit and not allowing you to view the hallways where your actual unit will be. The hallways are painted a horrid shade of blue and green, similar to a Nickelodeon game show. The carpets are filthy and the halls smell like garbage. Residents allow their dogs to defecate and piss in these halls. Outside of the main entry to the building smells like a zoo because many residents do not pick up after their animals. Iâve seen Hugo, the maintenance man, pouring fabuloso along the rocks to hide the smell. The gym does not have complete sets of weights and there have been many times when the treadmills arenât working. This apartment is not accessible to those with disabilities. There is no ramp in front of the main door which makes it extremely difficult to access. The same goes for the back entrance near the elevator. No ramp so you have to walk all the way down the sidewalk and around to get to your car. There are no trash cans in the front which encourages people to litter. Another thing they donât tell you is that because of the popularity of the location, there is almost never any parking in the front. There are clubs surrounding the apartment and a new shopping center nearby. If you enjoy your peace of mind and cleanliness, do not live here. Youâre better off at a motel 6. Cheers

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. I was given 5 days to figure out if I was going to renew or terminate my lease. Other tenants were given 8, 12, or 13 days. I brought this to the attention of the corporate office and they could care less. I tried to get renewal information a month prior to my 60 days, and they never answered their phone. when I finally received my sheet, I was told I needed to wait for another sheet that never came, and now I was at 45 days and forced into paying for all of June. The corporate office does not care either. They force people into renewing out of necessity. If I contact an attorney, I will have no one else to speak to at the corporate office. I do not want to interact with the leasing office because they have never done their job. They being sued by the Arizona Attorney General for price fixing the housing market here in Phoenix. They are part of the problem. They do not care about their residents only their money. The hot tub is always cold and is always having issues. DO NOT RENT HERE. HOW IS 5 DAYS LEGAL? I'm not the only who has experienced this. I've added the renewal sheets, the property management company does not care. You will pay for their mistakes. You are just a number. I spoke with corporate and they do not care. Bowen Johnson regional property manager agrees with the deceptive and unethical practices.

I moved here from out of state and definitely wanted to find somewhere I could feel comfortable and also have plenty of options for food, fun, etc near by. After looking at tons of options around PHX, The Curve at Melrose was the perfect spot! Jade, manager, and Kevin, office associate, are AMAZING. They were very accommodating and helpful with making sure I was set up and ready for my move in date (there are some slight differences from state to state when setting up utilities and stuff). The apartment itself is the perfect size for me and my dogs, the amenities have been pristine and tended to/ cleaned what seems like daily. The gates are always locked and there are no people here that shouldn't be ( the photo of the man in the other review is actually a resident who got locked out). Whatever scent they use in the hallways smells great and actually keeps my apartment smelling amazing as well, which can be a challenge when you have dogs so I really appreciate that. Lol. The other residents are nice and have made me feel welcomed. Whatever type of food or entertainment you are looking for, there is something for you nearby! Plenty of walkable options and others are a quick trip down the road. I highly recommend here if you want a nice place in a great location.

The only thing good about this place is the location. They never answer the phone. Never! The management is horrible!! If you need to get anything done you will have to call multiple times and they still will never get back to you It's the end of my lease and I still have not received he lid to my trash can. You will pay fees for fees. They pretend to care about you and the property but as soon as they sign the lease it's over. My electric bill is the same as what I paid for in a 1500sqft apartment and I live in a shoe box now. The windows are thin and you can hear noise at all hours of the night. Do not live here. I read the reviews and thought surely the person was being dramatic but they were not. I wish I would have rented somewhere else.

The leasing agent, Kevin, was very kind and informative on the tour. He brought a very personable feeling to the apartment complex.

Probably the best complex I have lived at here in Phoenix, new management has done great at keeping the community maintained and the views and location are unbeatable. If you are looking for a new home the building itself was well built you can't hear your neighbors like I could in newer built complexes around the valley. Great amenities and the appliances in home are nice as well.
