My girlfriend lived here. I had her move out. The apartment complex was dirty and I hated visiting. 2 weeks of moving was worth it to not have to go here again.

I lived in this community for two years and, unfortunately, watched it go from what I thought was my dream apartment community to one that consistently disappointed me. One of the biggest issues is the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the property. Considering the rental rates are relatively high for the area, I expected a much higher standard of day-to-day upkeep. Instead, trash was frequently left throughout the community, creating an unpleasant living environment. Resident behavior also contributed to the problem. Common areas were often not respected, with issues such as trash accumulation, dog urine in elevators, and even dog waste being thrown from balconies. On multiple occasions, waste landed on my balcony, which was both frustrating and unacceptable. Another concern is the additional charges that residents are expected to pay. Some fees were not clearly disclosed during the leasing process or highlighted on the property's website. In particular, the CAM charges were significant and increased by approximately $40 per month during my residency. Given the condition of the property, it was difficult to see where those additional costs were being invested. I was also concerned about the condition and reliability of the elevators, which were frequently out of service for extended periods. The community had a Certificate of Acceptance posted from 2018, yet elevators are generally subject to annual inspection and testing requirements. As someone who works with permitting and oversees elevator compliance professionally, it was concerning to see paperwork that appeared several years out of date. Whether the elevators were being inspected appropriately or not, the outdated documentation combined with the recurring elevator outages did not inspire confidence in the property's maintenance and operational standards. Overall, I cannot recommend this community at this time. The property has potential, but significant improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, resident accountability, fee transparency, and building operations are needed before I would consider living here again.

The Curve at Melrose has been extremely disappointing, especially since the management changed to Sierra. Maintenance issues involving my washer and dishwasher were first reported in April 2026 and remained unresolved for several weeks despite multiple work orders and follow-up requests. The washer was scheduled for replacement in May, but this did not occur as promised. I consistently provided access to my apartment, and dispute claims that delays resulted from a lack of authorization to enter. My work orders and communications document that permission was granted throughout the process. The faulty washer damaged my clothes. I raised my concerns with management and showed them the items, but they dismissed my concerns and failed to act professionally or urgently. What is most concerning is that I ultimately had to involve Regional Management before meaningful action was taken. No resident should have to escalate maintenance concerns beyond the on-site office simply to obtain updates or have outstanding work orders resolved. The ongoing lack of communication, scheduling coordination, follow-through, and accountability created unnecessary frustration and inconvenience. Residents should not have to wait weeks for essential appliance repairs or struggle to obtain accurate updates. Ownership and Regional Management must review concerns, improve service, strengthen communication, increase accountability, and respond to maintenance on time. I do not recommend this community at this time.

Beautiful complex, slightly expensive for the area. The inside of the apartments are nice so is the exterior but step outside the gates and youâre met with junkies and transients. Not the complexes fault, the whole stretch of neighborhood on the 7th Avenue stretch. Staff were nice. Clean complex.

Beware! Before you decide to move in please know you must have current car tags or they will tow you . Itâs bad enough the rent is super high, the place is really run down in the last few years, carpets are stained and the elevator you gotta share with the trash bins .

1/3 of the elevators have been out of commission for multipul weeks, (hopefully you are not disabled as that creates an undo burden) gates are constantly non operational, fire pit has been borke for years, lighting fixtures in the halls hanging by wires. Gym is bare bones. Minimal weights. All while chagring every resident 50$ in "cam fees" each month: over 120,000 a year combined. When PB Bell manage the complex everything was tip top. Since AMC took over 5 years ago, the place is literally falling apart.

My husband and I truly loved our time living here! Even though we were only here for 6 months before heading off on our new European adventure, it quickly felt like home. Alicia and Poleth in the front office were always so friendly, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating, they really made the experience that much better. Maintenance was also amazing, any request we had was handled so quickly. If it wasnât taken care of the same day, the team was there first thing the next morning, which we really appreciated. The community itself is warm and welcoming, and as dog owners, we couldnât have asked for a more dog-friendly place for our two pups. That was such a huge plus for us! The location is also unbeatable, being able to walk to nearby restaurants and bars within minutes, plus easy access to the canal for peaceful evening walks, made everyday life here so enjoyable. Overall, itâs an amazing place to live, and weâre so grateful for the experience. Itâs also incredibly queer-friendly, which we especially loved being in the Melrose District, and you really canât beat the Rainbow On Wheels that takes you up and down the street from Camelback to Indian School. Weâd absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and welcoming community!
